Five Months Into 2007
It is now Spring 2007, and I really love this time of year. Not only do I love the flowers and trees blooming, I get a chance to see where I am at in achieving the goals I have for this year.
In two weeks I am going to accomplish 3 goals that I had written down on a sheet that I had called my goal sheet back in 2003. I got this idea from Mark Victor Hansen. I wrote down a hundred and one goals that I wanted to accomplish in my life time. My current list consists of 64 goals and I have accomplished 12 of them so far.
So, where are you in accomplishing your goals for the year? If you are a little behind, then start taking “action” today. All we have is right now. There is no tomorrow, or another minute from now. All we have is this very moment. And it is what we do in these “moments” that make up our life, our goals, our dreams, our being. Take this moment to think about what you want to accomplish and start taking “action”. If you don’t know where to begin, ask!
I want to leave you with a poem by Langston Hughes.
It was a long time ago.
I have almost forgotten my dream.
But it was there then,
In front of me,
Bright as a sun-
My dream.
And then the wall rose,
Rose slowly,
Slowly,
Between me and my dream.
Rose slowly, slowly,
Dimming,
Hiding,
The light of my dream.
Rose until it touched the sky-
The wall.
Langston Hughes (1968)
Never give up on your dreams-let no wall come between you and your dream(s). Break through the walls and start taking “action”.
