It is now Spring 2007, and I really love this time of year. Not only do I love the flowers and trees blooming, I get a chance to see where I am at in achieving the goals I have for this year.
In two weeks I am going to accomplish 3 goals that I had written down on a sheet that I had called my goal sheet back in 2003. I got this idea from Mark Victor Hansen. I wrote down a hundred and one goals that I wanted to accomplish in my life time. My current list consists of 64 goals and I have accomplished 12 of them so far.
So, where are you in accomplishing your goals for the year? If you are a little behind, then start taking “action” today. All we have is right now. There is no tomorrow, or another minute from now. All we have is this very moment. And it is what we do in these “moments” that make up our life, our goals, our dreams, our being. Take this moment to think about what you want to accomplish and start taking “action”. If you don’t know where to begin, ask!
I want to leave you with a poem by Langston Hughes.
It was a long time ago.
I have almost forgotten my dream.
But it was there then,
In front of me,
Bright as a sun-
My dream.
And then the wall rose,
Rose slowly,
Slowly,
Between me and my dream.
Rose slowly, slowly,
Dimming,
Hiding,
The light of my dream.
Rose until it touched the sky-
The wall.
Langston Hughes (1968)
Never give up on your dreams-let no wall come between you and your dream(s). Break through the walls and start taking “action”.

Hello Anthony,
I enjoyed your email about goals and the importance of being accountable…I could not agree more.
Personally, I have found that listening to motivational or creative CD’s, reading inspirational books, and attending seminars that are in alliance with my values has been a great support for me.
For example, I remember when I was very young and working for a large group of medical doctors. As it turns out, I spent a good part of the work day in my car driving around making bank deposits for the doctors, mailing important files, and transporting x-rays and a number of other things. Recognizing this as an opportunity, I invested in motivational recordings and I listened to them and learned while I drove around in my little dark blue bug. It was my university on wheels.
I spent my time listen to Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Norman V. Peale, Og Mandino, and Dale Carnegie. I loved their ideas and their stories…I felt bigger than life being surrounded by these great people…
I have spent my life setting huge goals for myself and I always follow up by putting myself in a position where I have to walk my talk. This has worked for me…it has made me accountable.
Working in a hospital laboratory for several years…bored and looking for a challenge I decided I wanted to get into real estate. I started listening to real estate tapes and decided to start studying for the real estate exam. I passed the test, received my license, and went to the most prestigious company in my town and declared my intensions (goals). In a very short time, I became very successful because I was focused and had clear goals. After all, I told these folks at the real estate office what I wanted in life and how focused I was…I was now accountable.
I love to challenge myself…my first step in doing so is to get a clear strategy and be accountable.–Michelle
