Below are two books that I have been reading that I highly recommend you get a copy for yourself, or at least check them out at your local library.

I heard about the book, A New Earth, by Eckhart Tolle from watching a show on Oprah. It is a great book. It reminds me a lot of what I read in a book by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Your Sacred Self. It is great to see more people open to reading these kinds of books. A New Earth is about people waking up from living in the unconscious/ego, to a life of Being, living in the Present.

I knew of the book, The Power of NOW, for many years. I remember seeing the book and knew it would be something I would be interested in reading. For some reason I never got around to it. I am an avid reader, and I always have 2-3 books that I am reading. I am really enjoying this book. I know the importance of living in the Now, this moment. Present. Still. Live and create your life in the Now, its all you have. This present moment.
The Power of Now

I first heard of the term Mastermind group over ten years ago when I read the book, “Think and Grow Rich”, by Napoleon Hill.

I was in college at this time and I was just beginning to personally study human potential and neuroscience. I was not going to college for this, however, I was very fascinated with the brain and how people can achieve amazing things.

One thing Mr. Hill shares in his book is the power of a mastermind group. I did not fully understand this power he was talking about.

As I continued my studies of human potential I read about many successful people who said that reading the book, Think and Grow Rich, gave them the edge, so to speak, to become successful in their business.

Over the years, I have noticed many well known Internet Marketers emphasize that their coaching programs include being part of a Master Mind group.

Now why is this?…Because master mind groups are powerful thats why!

What is the power that I am talking about. Mr. Hill talks about two different forms of power. They are economic and psychic.

Economic power is when you surround yourself with people that you would like to learn and grow from. For example, we know that we become like the people we associate with, or spend the most time with. This is why our parents always wanted us to have good friends, right.

Well, in the same way, if we surround ourselves with people who we would like to become or learn from this becomes a powerful way to gain the skills necessary to become what some would say successful.

In psychic power, Mr. Hill mentions the energy that is created when people are focused on a particular goal or focus. This power I believe is what can take any person and help them to achieve their goals.

In later posts I will be diving more into this power. I believe it is the very reason why so many successful people have been able to get new ideas for products, inventions, joint ventures, books, coaching programs and many other great things.

No one person accomplishes great things alone. Look at the mountaineers who climb to high altitudes. They need a whole team of people to negotiate the technical nightmare of legistics to get all the equipment at the right place and at the right time.

Picture this for a minute. Think of a task, or something that requires your full attention to
accomplish. It can be anything, just as long as it really takes all of your attention.

Now imagine what it would be like for there to be two people, one on each side of you, talking
to you trying to keep you from accomplishing your task. They are whispering in your ear at one
moment, then yelling the next.

How do you think you would be feeling while this is going on?

If you’re anything like me, it would very annoying. It would be worse than running through a
swarm of flies that keep going along with you swarming right just above your head.

Now that I have your attention, what does this really have to do with manifestation? Well I
think it has a lot to do with manifestation.

Let me explain. I love sports. I have played sports just about my whole entire life. I even
participate in a few sports today. Even if you have never played on a team sport before, I
believe you will understand what I mean here.

In any sport it can take some time to pick up and learn the skills require to perform well.
In learning how to play a new sport it can be frustrating when you’re not picking it up right
away and not able to enjoy it as much. This can go for any new skill. But, can you expect to
be an expert in a week, or even a month.

No, it takes focus, consistency, and a desire to learn.

Wait! Can these also be the very things you need to manifest what you want in your life?

Well, let’s take a closer look?

1. It takes focus – If you want to manifest something in your life you are going to focus some
time on it. You are going to have to find a way for your desire to be in front of you as often as
it can. It can be a picture on your computer, it can be a picture in your car, or maybe on a
card you carry with you everywhere you go.

2. It takes consistency – Nothing ever changes without consistency, or should I say ACTION. If I trained only once a week, I would not improve much in my sport. If you want to manifest your desires you are going to have to take ACTION! There is no way around this. Some people might think all you have to do is meditate, or visualize their desire. No, it can be part of it. You are going to have to go out and take some ACTION. You are going to have to do whatever it will take for you to get what you want, and the universe will do its part.

3. It takes a true desire - In order to know exactly what you want you have to know what you don’t want. You have to know what you want and why you want it. If you don’t know what
you want, and why you want it, it is going to be hard to keep focused on it. It really has to be something you really, really desire.

One thing to keep in mind is to not get bogged down with the HOW it will happen. This is where
a lot of people get caught up. They want to figure out the how first, and then start taking
action. No, you need to know the what, and the how will come.

Take everything in strides. When you first start on your goal, take small steps. Don’t feel like you have to have everything in line to be successful. Take the time to learn one to two things that will help you reach your goal. Start applying them and then build from there.
